Year 10 PARTY excursion at Royal Perth Hospital

Recently, a group of Year 10 students were invited to attend Royal Perth Hospital for an excursion. It was part of the PARTY initiative, Preventing Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth. The groups participated in dynamic and interactive injury prevention activities, including listening to presentations from inspirational survivors, visiting emergency and intensive care wards, working with physio’s and talking with current patients.
The students had a hard-hitting but informational day, increasing their knowledge of risk avoidance and staying safe. Their job now is to cascade that information to their peers and friends at school to help reduce the injuries and deaths on our roads and in our community.
