Secondary Science Week

Recently the College celebrated National Science Week. The school theme this year was Innovation: Powering Future Industries. This theme incorporates the advancement in technology in all industries, allowing opportunities to engage with the theme from a variety of perspectives. Topics of interest include recent advancements in renewal energy technology, data science, environmental monitoring, medicine, marine research, agriculture, climate change and mining.
We tested our knowledge through quiz questions and Connect Kahoot’s, and in the classroom Science students carried out science activities including enzyme investigations, exploration of rocks and minerals, forces experiments involving flight, magnetism, static electricity and friction.
Thanks to the Science department for your time in organising these experiences, and to students for your enthusiastic participation.
