Celebrating Excellence: Recognising Outstanding Student Achievements

We are delighted to share with our community the remarkable achievements of our students in this term’s celebration of excellence. It is truly a moment of pride and joy for us as we honour the hard work, dedication and passion that our students have demonstrated across various fields. We believe acknowledging and celebrating their accomplishments is essential, as it not only motivates them to continue to strive for excellence but also helps to inspire their peers.

College Colours: This term, our College Assembly was filled with excitement and applause as we awarded College Colours to deserving students in various categories. The College Colours, a symbol of excellence and commitment, were bestowed upon students who excelled in the areas of Curriculum, Cultural and Sport.

College Half Colours: We proudly recognised the efforts of nine students who displayed exceptional talent and dedication in the realms of Cultural, Service and Curriculum. Their contributions to these areas have been truly commendable.

Representative Colours: A special mention goes to a Year 12 student who not only showcased his prowess in the national-level Pool competition but also represented Australia on the world stage in Morocco. His remarkable achievements serve as an inspiration to us all.

College Full Colours: Nine students, spanning all four areas of Colours, were honoured for their outstanding contributions to Curriculum, Cultural, Service and Sport. These students exemplify the values of dedication and excellence that we hold dear at LJBC.

Honours: We also extend our congratulations to six Year 12 students who received Honours in Curriculum and Cultural Colours. Their leadership and dedication set a high standard for their peers.

Certificates of Excellence: Academic Excellence Shines Bright

Our House Assemblies were filled with accolades as we recognised students who achieved at least 80% or above across all their subjects and courses. Their diligence, commitment and academic curiosity are truly commendable, and we are proud to present them with Certificates of Excellence.

Here is the Breakdown of the recipients:

Year 7: 20 students

Year 8: 18 students

Year 9: 14 students

Year10: 20 students

Year 11: 6 students

Year 12: 11 students

Letters of Merit: Acknowledging Consistent Effort:

In addition to the Certificates of Excellence, we also sent out Letters of Merit to students who consistently demonstrated excellence in their academic pursuits. These students are not only achieving remarkable results but also maintaining a high standard throughout their studies.

Here is the breakdown of students receiving Letters of Merit:

Year 7:  32 Students

Year 8:  27 Students

Year 9:  32 Students

Year 10: 24 Students

Year 11: 17 Students

Year 12: 37 Students

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our students from Year 7 to Year 12 for their outstanding achievements in academics, service and leadership. Their dedication and unwavering commitment are a testament to their character and the values they demonstrate. The College is confident that they will continue to excel in their future endeavours and inspire those around them.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, let us also remember the importance of perseverance, hard work and a passion for learning. These qualities not only lead to success but also shape our students into responsible and compassionate individuals.
