On Wednesday 29 May, both of the Year 9 Media classes went on an excursion to Whiteman Park. This was an opportunity for the students to film ‘on location.’ Students worked in groups to develop ideas for suspense films and the park’s variety of areas allowed our budding filmmakers to select settings that suited their narratives. Tasked with using suspense techniques such as parallel editing and vertigo shots, our future Hitchcocks and Spielbergs had a lot of creative fun on the outing.
