National Simultaneous Storytime is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, and many other places around the country.

On Wednesday 22 May students at LJBC came together to listen to the colourful, vibrant, fun book Alpacas with Maracas, by Matt Cosgrove. The aim is to promote the value of reading and literacy and Australian authors and publishers. The students participated in some fun classroom activities after the story.
