Water for Africa Excursion

On Friday 31May, twenty-two Year 10 students went to Perth City to shake tins and collect for Water for Africa. All together students collected $892. This money will go towards installing, maintaining and repairing water projects in remote communities in Africa. Statistics say that 663,000,000 people in the world lack access to clean drinking water. The funds students raised will contribute to supplying clean drinking water to African villages which provides the opportunity to improve lives through better health, sanitation and increased education attendance. Water for Africa also establishes a sustainable program where they empower, train and employ local people to fix broken water wells and benefit the community. Water for Africa works with the local church to see long lasting change for the communities who have received safe clean drinking water and heard the gospel. At each water well, they invite the local pastor or church leader to attend and pray. Bringing hope and change to individuals over generations.
