Music Mentor Program

The Music Mentor Program for 2025 was re-launched on Wednesday 30 April. The program aims to develop exceptional Secondary school musicians and aspiring Primary school musicians by pairing them together to play and learn from each other. The culmination of the program is an end of year concert where Mentors and Mentees perform duets together, sharing their musical journey for family and friends.
Some exciting additions to the program this year include an excursion to WAAPA for a lunchtime concert, partnering with UWA Music so Mentors and Mentees can develop connections and learn from University Music Students, conducting workshops for Music Mentors and additional performance opportunities for both Mentor and Mentees to refine their performance skills and confidence.
During our weekly rehearsals this year, music students will develop their connections with each other through guided musical and social activities. It was fantastic to see all the students already forming positive relationships with each other and enjoying sharing their musical gifts and experiences. I look forward to watching them all continue to grow musically and personally, and I hope the connections formed here will continue well beyond the program.
