Exploring Future Tech Careers at the Big Day In

Recently, fifteen of our Year 10 Digital Technologies students attended the 2025 Big Day In at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup. This full-day event provides students with a unique opportunity to hear directly from leaders in the tech industry about innovation, future trends, and career pathways in ICT and STEM.
The Big Day In is a national initiative run by the ACS Foundation, designed to inspire high school students by connecting them with professionals from major organisations, including Microsoft, Adobe, and Westpac, among others. Through a series of engaging presentations and interactive sessions, students gained valuable insights into emerging technologies, cybersecurity, software development, gaming, and the diverse range of opportunities available in the digital landscape.
Our students represented the College respectfully, actively engaging with speakers and asking thoughtful questions about career journeys, study options, and the skills that will be most valuable in the years ahead. Reinforcing our commitment to connecting classroom learning with real-world opportunities, events like these play a key role in helping students make informed decisions about their future and continue to grow their curiosity and confidence in digital technologies.
We extend our thanks to the ACS Foundation and ECU for hosting such an impactful day. And to our students for their enthusiasm and excellent conduct throughout the event!
