On Thursday 12 June we took a group of Year 9 students across to the Joondalup McLarty TAFE Campus for a Call the Nurse Career Taster. Students participated in a number of practical hands-on experiences which simulate nursing and medical practices. Students with Certificate IV TAFE qualification in Nursing are registered as Enrolled nurses and they make a real difference in the comfort and care of patients every day. They work in a range of health care settings including hospitals, health clinics, community organisations, or residential care. Enrolled Nursing is challenging and rewarding and can be an alternative pathway to Registered Nursing.
