It’s been an exciting few weeks for the LJBC Football Academy, with some outstanding individual achievements and strong participation across all levels.

A huge congratulations to former student Sonny Inzalaco, who made his international debut for the Australia U18 team, starting against France in the UEFA International Tournament in Nyon, Switzerland. Sonny was joined in the starting XI by former LJBC student James Overy, marking a proud moment for our football program. Both players also featured in high-profile matches against Argentina and the USA.

Closer to home, over 50 competitive football fixtures have been played throughout Term 2 across the SSWA and CAS competitions, showcasing the depth and talent within our teams.

In training, there’s been a strong focus on skill development across both primary and secondary age groups. Students have shown excellent progress in key areas such as 1v1 attacking and defending, running with the ball, first touch, and striking technique. The improvement in confidence and execution across these core skills has been fantastic to see.

We look forward to building on this momentum as we move toward Semester Two.
