Languages Week

Last week, LJBC celebrated Language Week with a variety of engaging cultural activities across our language classrooms.
Year 7 Japanese students took part in an interactive Samurai and Ninja workshop led by Aiko from Wasabi Kids. They learned about the fascinating history of ninjas and samurai, and had the chance to develop their ninja skills through a series of hands-on activities.
Meanwhile, students in Years 8 to 10 participated in an energetic karate lesson with Mark Golding from Gold Martial Arts. They explored the history of karate, practiced basic self-defense techniques, and gained insight into the discipline and philosophy behind the martial art.
Year 11 and 12 Japanese students enjoyed some matcha icecream while watching a movie in Japanese.
Year 7–9 French students practiced their speaking skills by ordering a crêpe in French, which they then enjoyed while watching the classic French film Petit Nicholas
Congratulations to Ruby and Jade, the winners of our Hi-Chew and Biscoff guessing competition!
