Madison Oesterheld and Kohl Branch, both Year 12 Visual Arts students in the ATAR and General courses respectively, have had their artworks selected for 'META 2020', an exhibition, held annually at Gallery Central, North Metro TAFE in Northbridge. The exhibition showcases the best Visual Arts, Design and Photography work of Year 11 and 12 students across Western Australia and provides an insight into the hearts and minds of contemporary young artists.
Madison’s painting, 'Paper thin' and Kohl’s ceramic work, 'Geometric Tea' will be on display at Gallery Central until 22 August. We congratulate both these students for their excellent work. For more information and to download the exhibition catalogue, visit, http://www.gallerycentral.com.au/meta/
William Knight in Year 10 is also to be congratulated on being chosen as a finalist in 'The Lester Prize Portrait Youth Award'. The competition, formerly known as 'The Black Swan Portrait Youth Award', encourages the creative talents of young, aspiring and emerging artists. It is open to all High School students across Australia and children in care at the Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).
The Youth Exhibition will be on display at Brookfield Place Tower 2, 123-125 St Georges Terrace, Perth from 2 November – 27 November.
