Windsor Words

Welcome back to all the Windsor students and families – we missed you!

We have a great new group of Year 7s this year, plus a handful of new students in Windsor who wil be great members of the family. Welcome Jasmine, Sebastian, Adi, Luke and Jessica.

The Windsor student council have also met several times with some great ideas for 2021, and had a fun day at Outback Splash bonding and planning. I hope all of you had a great break refreshed and ready to learn. I had a great break with highlights being time with family and catching some fantastic fish. It was disappointing we had to postpone the start of school, and the swimming carnival – but we look forward to defending our first carnival for the year soon!

The theme for the month is KINDNESS - the quality of being generous, friendly and considerate. I think kindness is about not being mean at all - and going a bit further to make others feel better. It feels good to be kind and great to experience kindness. The highlight of my school year so far was when two Windsor Year 8 students noticed the a new student wasn’t sitting with them, they stopped what they were doing and set up a search party to find her. The girl had gotten lost – and how wonderful to have new friends be KIND enough to go out and search for you! This reminds me of the parable of Jesus the Shepherd - leaving the herd behind to seek and find the lost sheep. God loves us all.

May you have a blessed 2021 and may we support one another to achieve our potential.
