Cumberland Corner

I would like to welcome our Cumberland students and families back to 2021. Our first day back didn’t quite start in the manner we had planned, but I am sure it is going to be a great year with so many exciting events to look forward to throughout the year. I am confident that with the Cumberland spirit of perseverance, we will have a triumphant year. The swimming carnival is not far off, so I encourage all Cumberland students to participate in as many events as possible.
The Student Council met at Outback Splash before the College commenced and the Cumberland Councillors are fired up ready to lead us into a victorious year.
The Student Councillors at the helm for 2021 are:
House Captains: Jordan and Dylan
Year 11: Venetia and James
Year 10: Roxanne and Joshua
Year 9: Alex and Francois
Year 8: Michala and Tyler
Our Year 7 students have settled in well and I look forward to becoming better acquainted with them during the Year 7 Camp at Serpentine next week. Our Year 7 Councillors will be elected after the Year 7 Camp. A big thank you to the Year 7 Connect teachers and Year 10 mentors who assisted the Year 7 students during their transition to high school.
In addition to the families of our Year 7 students, we have some new families joining us this year. A special warm welcome is extended to them and I trust the students are settling in.
Welcome on board to
Year 8 Alexa
Year 10 Jedd
Year 11 Marshall
