We are so excited with how this year has kicked off!

2019 started with an amazing Student Council Induction Day, spending the day at Aloha Surf House - rock climbing and learning how to surf. Well, for most of us learning how to stay on our boards!  We also had the chance to meet the honourable Mark McGowan, which was an incredible honour. We are so blessed with such an enthusiastic group of students that we get to work alongside. Our student council team is absolutely amazing and so full of ideas.

We also want to take this opportunity to formally welcome all Year 7s, their families and all the new students that have joined LJBC. We hope you all feel settled and are happy here.

Our main goal for this year is to focus on building the community of the College, especially between students and making our school a greener and more environmentally friendly school. We’ve had lots of suggestions on what we can do to reduce our environmental impact as a College and look forward to implementing these.

We are would love to hear of any ideas that students want to put forward and are always open to new suggestions.

We both are looking forward to what is ahead for the rest of the year!
