From the Dean of Students
Happy Easter everyone!
Once again, I am amazed at how fast Term 1 has come to an end and our students are about to enjoy their first well-earned break for the year. The Secondary students have had a successful start to the year and the Student Services Team (the Heads of House) and I remain confident that 2021 is going to be a good year.
With Term 2 being an 11 week Term, there will be a number of events happening around the College and lots of opportunities for student involvement. From a staffing perspective, I would like to share with you the changes in Windsor House.
Windsor House
Mr Lyndon Rice, the Head of Windsor House, will be taking on the role of acting Head of Mathematics for the remainder of the year. Lyndon is going to be missed in the House Centre, but we know he will be an asset to the Math’s Department during this period. His competitive spirit will be missed when it comes to sporting carnivals and House competitions and we wish him all the best in his new role.
It is with pleasure, that we welcome Mr Matthew Potts as Acting Head of Windsor House until the end of the year. Mr Potts teaches in the Science Learning Area where as a teacher, he has established relationships with students which promote integrity and respect. He pursues healthy discussions with students where their point of view is valued, even in times where each party may have a differing opinion. As a Head of House, he will continue to develop and establish relationships of trust and respect and is committed to seeing young people flourish while standing in as a role model for those in his sphere of influence.
Mr Matthew Potts
