Primary Girls Football Academy (Soccer) – SSWA Northern Champions
On Friday 7 May, our Primary Girls Academy students competed in the SSWA Girls Champions Cup, and ended the day as Northern Champions. This fantastic achievement qualifies them for the State Finals in Aubin Grove, where they will play for the State Championship against the winners of the Southern, Eastern and Peel regions.
LJBC were presented with the Collette McCallum Trophy as Northern Region winners after winning all 5 of their games on the day. As coaches we were pleased with the teams pro-active style of football, as well as the positive attitude and high intensity demonstrated throughout the 9v9 competition. To cap off a great day, LJBC’s youngest player, Madison (Year 4) was named as the Player of the Tournament.
