Judo Champion

Chlea-Jades’ journey with Judo began in 2017 when she attended a Judo kids party at Kano Judo Schools in Joondalup with her 7 year old brother. Fast forward to 2019 and she was chosen to compete at the National Judo Championships after winning gold at the WA State Championships. Unfortunately, breaking her leg on her birthday whilst playing soccer at school shattered that plan and 2020 saw the same event cancelled due to Covid-19. Finally, in 2021, Chlea-Jade was able to travel to the Gold Coast but would have to compete against older fighters in unfamiliar territory. She was determined to be fierce and do her best and earned a silver medal, ranking her #2 in Australia. Next year she will be competing in the same age category again and hopes to go that one better - Gold. Well done Chlea-Jade! We look forward to watching you compete at the highest level.
