During the first semester, LJBC nominated 30 teams to compete in the ACC CAS co-curricular sporting competition against other coastal Colleges. It was outstanding to see close to 300 students commit to this competition and represent the College in a fun and competitive environment. Several of our Year 6 students were able to supplement our Year 7 teams this term. They are commended for their contribution to this program and we are looking forward to seeing them excel in 2022.

Numerous teams placed highly throughout the semester and developed their skills in their chosen sport. Thanks to all our student managers and officials for their assistance, it was great to see you develop your leadership and communication skills whilst building a positive sporting culture at the College.

Congratulations to our Senior Boys Volleyball team and Year 7 Boys Soccer team who finished on top of the CAS ladder after the final round of competition to secure a home final. I am also pleased to announce that both teams won their final matches and the ACC pennant. All ‘Most Valuable Players’ and ‘Coaches Awards’ for all teams will be formally recognised at the Sports Awards Evening on Friday 12 November.
