RU OK Day

This week at LJBC we have been focussing on the message of ‘RU OK’. On Tuesday, the Chaplaincy Department ran a fundraising BBQ and soccer games with live music from our staff and student band to raise awareness, and to start meaningful conversations. Over $600 was raised for this charity.
Chaplaincy Captains visited House Assemblies to explain to students how to engage in the well being of others by the asking the following;
1) Ask the question – are you ‘really’ OK?
2) Listen
3) Encourage the action
4) Check in
We encourage everyone to take action in your community and to put into practise these simple steps that could really make difference.Catherine da Silva
