Recently we had a presenter who brought Kura the paramedic bear to introduce basic first aid concepts in a fun way. The students learnt how to identify an emergency, what number to call in an emergency (which state they are calling from – WA) and to understand the role of who can help in an emergency. The students participated in this half-hour of hands-on learning which was an introduction to what are learning in class.
