Year 9 Drama Production

On Thursday 4 November, the Year 9 Drama classes performed two short comedies, So You Wanna Be A Cheerleader by M.G. Davidson and Good Cop, Bad Cop by Ian McWethy. As part of this production, the students worked to apply voice and movement techniques taught in class to their individual characters as well as production roles behind the scenes.
The students really enjoyed workshopping and developing the characters. Adding the technical elements of lighting and sound helped bring the production to life, together with adding in food props. It's amazing how real food on stage creates such a buzz amongst the cast! Banana bread anyone? Well done to the Year 9 students for pulling it all together, supporting each other through the rehearsal process and entertaining the audience!
“This was a great experience getting each of us outside of our comfort zone to work together.” Year 9 Drama student
We wish them all the best as they finish out the year and look forward to seeing them further develop their skills in Year 10.
