Arcadia Announcements

Welcome Arcadia Family! It is the beginning of a New Year, fresh beginnings, new opportunities and endless possibilities. As the saying goes, “the sky is the limit”. May all the challenges of 2022, whatever they may be, inspire you to tackle them head on and grow stronger as you are moving forward.
The Bible says in Philippians 4:4-7
4”Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.
May we all endeavour in 2022 to be gentle and kind to one another, uplifting each other with our actions and words, so we can all experience God’s peace and love.
This year has already started in full swing with the Y12 Ball done and dusted and Wow! didn’t our Y12’s look magnificent; congratulations on a very beautiful evening! The Student Council Induction Day has also been completed and it was inspiring to see our Student Leaders putting their thinking caps on and brainstorming exciting new ideas for their fellow students.
It was evident that this group of young leaders will action their ideas when our Arcadia Captains and other leaders, arrived earlier to specially meet the new group of Year 7 students. Well done, Ruan, Tyler and Sienna, leading by example is the best form of leadership.
I am looking forward to get to know the 7’s better on the upcoming camp, they have already impressed us with their positive attitude and respectful behaviour.
I would also like to welcome the following new students to the Arcadia family:
Year 8: Dior
Year 9: Jhett, Summer, Rhea and Jayel
Year 10: Robyn and Jake
We are so excited to have you on board and are looking forward to being part of your journey as you build memories here at LJBC.
I would also like to mention and congratulate our amazing Arcadia Student Council.
Drama Captain Sienna
Chaplaincy Captain Thomas
House Captains Tyler and Ruan
Year 11 Hayley and Adrian
Year 10 Gabriella and Jayden
Year 9 Stephanie and Garrett
Year 8 Charlotte and Arnu
The Year 7 students will be voting on Wednesday 2 March for their representatives.
May 2022 exceed your expectations, but remember, as John F Kennedy said:
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them”. John F. Kennedy
Let’s jump into action Arcadia House, team effort is key!
