Legacy of Lancier
“in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28
To all Lancier families new and returning, I would like to extend a warm welcome. This year will be full of great experiences for our students along with undoubtedly a few challenges along the way; in those times, we can lean into the words from Romans, and remember that these too, are the workings of God and have been given for us to grow and learn from.
This year Lancier will be led by two fantastic House captains in Scarlett and Jack. These two create a powerhouse leadership team who are set, along with the rest of the House Council to create long lasting culture of connection and identity. I would like to acknowledge the following young leaders who have heard to calling to lead with a servant heart and be the voice of the students of Lancier:
Year 11 Niamh and Brock
Year 10 Stephanie and Daniel
Year 9 Moesha and Robyn
Year 8 Boston and Sam
Once our Year 7 students have settled into the patterns of high school, we shall have nominations and elections for their student council members.
It is my hope that the students of Lancier lean into their strengths this year and use the gifts that have been given to them, to create the good in their world and those around them. I would also like to encourage all students step outside their comfort zone and try something new this year, whether that is Cadets, CAS or any of the other clubs that are on offer. You never know what strengths could come of it until you try.
