Premier’s Reading Challenge
The McGowan Government has relaunched the Premier’s Reading Challenge, encouraging young Western Australians to read. To complete the Premier’s Reading Challenge, students will need to read a total of 12 books and log these books on the Premier’s Reading Challenge website. Weekly prizes are also on offer, with students going into the draw by logging a book per week.
Students can get involved by registering at www.premiersreadingchallenge.wa.edu.au. Those students below 13 years of age need to be registered by a parent or guardian. Those students over 13 years of age can register themselves. As part of the registration, students will choose their avatar and be able to log books that they have read.
For secondary students involved in our College Reading Achievement Scheme, you will be able to include all items read from May onwards. Mr Sampson and Ms Di Florio will assist students to complete and submit the required reading record.
Challenge categories and prize information (including travel prizes!!) are on the website. The Challenge is open to students from Kindergarten to Year 10. The Challenge will run until 9 September.
