On Wednesday 20 July our Year 10 to 12 Drama students participated in a specialist incursion. Bell Shakespeare, Sydney’s leading touring theatre education company, visited our College Auditorium to perform Shakespeare Is Dead. The show offered a smorgasbord of Shakespeare from romance to tragedies, to histories and comedies. The players introduced a host of Shakespeare’s characters and explored some of his most iconic scenes. Students received a masterclass in iambic pentameter, and even learnt about Elizabethan England and the world in which Shakespeare wrote his plays. Highlights included audience interaction and dagger fights.
