From the Curriculum Team
Term 3 began with the idea that the Year 12s would soon be finishing up with their final assessments and exams will be on the horizon. It is important that all Year 12s do an assessment of their current standing in their current course work and ensuring they are meeting the criteria for their WACE. I will begin looking at how they are tracking for Graduation and begin meeting with students to discuss any issues and their plans post high school. It is an exciting time for them as they begin thinking of their final finish of High School.
Subject and Course selection for 2023 is in full swing after the successful Curriculum Expo. It was a time where students and families could meet with the different Learning Areas and look to the future study of students. Not only did we have each Learning Area represented but we also had the Universities in WA on hand to help students look to the future, so they know what they need to study in high school prior to that next step of University or TAFE or Apprenticeships. There are so many opportunities for students, and we want to ensure they are well informed.
Once again, we were honoured to be able to award not only Curriculum and Service Colours but Curriculum Honours to a well deserving Year 12 student. Jake was awarded Full College Colours in Curriculum, Service and College Curriculum Honours. Congratulation Jake on these outstanding awards.
