SSWA: Primary Boys State Champions

Congratulations to the LJBC Football Academy Primary Boys team, who became 2022 State Champions on Friday 5 August. After winning the Northern Championship earlier in the term, the team travelled to Aubin Grove to play against the winners of the Southern, Eastern and Peel regions. LJBC went undefeated in the competition with wins against Coogee and South Coast Baptist College in the Quarter and Semi Finals, before victory in the final against Yanchep. Congratulations to the team on this great achievement. 

Australian U17 National Team Selection

Huge congratulations to Daniel Bennie (Year 11), who was recently selected for the Australian U17s National team for the ASEAN Football Federation Championship in Jakarta. Australia will play against Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia in the group stage of the competition. This is a reward for all of his consistent hard work and dedicated approach to his football over the last few years. Good luck Daniel, keep up the great work!

SSWA: Senior Girls State Futsal Champions

Well done also to our Senior Girls LJBC Football Academy Team, who earlier this term won both the Northern Futsal Championships and the WA State Futsal Championships. The girls beat Shenton College in the Northern Championship Final to qualify for the State Futsal Championships at Pro Futsal Bibra Lake against the top two teams from the Southern region. The team beat Safety Bay SHS in the Semi Final, before claiming victory against Lynwood SHS in the final. Congratulations girls!

Well done also to the Senior Boys team who finished runner up in the competition, beating Safety Bay in the Semi Final before a loss against Joseph Banks in the final. 

SSWA: Champion Schools Competition Update

The SSWA Champion Schools competition is currently ongoing, with each age group reaching the Quarter Final stage. All teams are looking to claim a place in the Semi Finals. Good luck to all the LJBC Football Academy teams in the final stages of the state-wide competition.
