Harmony Day

This year, our Primary School celebrated Harmony Day with great enthusiasm and excitement. Harmony Day honours the cultural diversity of our nation and promotes inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for all Australians. The theme for this year was 'Everybody belongs'.
The Primary School was decorated with vibrant orange paperchains made by our Year 6 students, and we arrived at school to the sounds of our Harmony Day playlist. One of the highlights of the day was the face painting activity, where students got their faces painted with orange hearts and stars. Thank you so much to our wonderful parents and students who volunteered their time to make our day so special.
The Harmony Day Assembly was another wonderful event that showcased our school's commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. The assembly started with the acknowledgement of the traditional custodians of the land and a heart-warming video explaining why we acknowledge country. Our Primary choir performed You’ve Got a Friend in Me and our wonderful Miss Chikich led us in an engaging drama experience.
Our guest speakers, Year 12 Chaplaincy Captains Niamh and Talia, shared a wonderful message reminding us how to continue to grow as a united community.
We would like to thank all of the teachers, staff, students, and parents who participated, and we look forward to celebrating and promoting diversity and inclusion in our school and community in the years to come.
