Performing Arts Perspectives Excursion

On Monday 27 March, the Year 10 to 12 Drama and Music students celebrated World Theatre Day in style at the Perth Concert Hall by watching the annual Performing Arts Perspectives. We were so excited to see our very own LJBC alumni, Jake Battle, who was MCing the event and were inspired by the gifted performers showing off a range of talents including dance, drama and music. Some highlights included a stunning rendition of Skyfall, a comic grandma and a fierce dance mum impression.

Students were buzzing after the show and returned to school with so much encouragement for their own future performances.

Drama Performance Incursion

On Monday 20 March the Year 11 and 12 Drama students participated in a performance incursion from 8.40am to 11.10am.

The incursion included Ruby Moon, performed by Year 12 ATAR Drama in PAT. This script challenged the actors to explore deep themes and made audience members eager to solve the mysteries of the play.

Next we watched Impending Everyone, performed by Year 11 ATAR and 12 General Drama in PAT which reminded us of the hold technology has on our modern lives.

We finished with Skid Marks: A Play About Driving, performed by the Year 11 General Drama class in the Auditorium, which took the audience on a comedic ride.

It was a great experience for the Year 11 and 12 Drama students to watch and support each other in their creative pursuits.
